There's nothing more annoying than trying to do one thing, when everyone and their dog just has to have you doing anything else. I am balancing my girlfriend, school, home obligations, work, and Khalidine all at once. There aren't enough days of the week or hours in a day.
First of all, I'd like to thank everyone who is still holding their end up on the Khalidine project. Laban is a super support, doing the job of NPC maker, Tester, scripter, and all around fix-it guy. Melliores is putting up with a lot of punishment from me, with over a dozen seperate jobs that need filling. I am really impressed with Sellsword's music work, and I am a real fan. Now that I have expressed my appreciation for others, it's back to me. First, I am working my butt off to keep above water. I occupy about 7/7 days a week with the above list, and the only real break I get is 6pm Saturday to 3pm Sunday. It's not that easy actually getting that small window of solitude though, with everyone telling or forcing me into what I should be doing. Heck, everyone knows what they SHOULD be doing. It's just a matter of whether I actually feel like doing those things in the only time I have to spare that week. Still, they try their best to get in my way without trying to see it my way. Goodness knows I try to see it their way. As far as Khalidine goes, I'm not doing as much as I want, but I am doing something. Mostly, I do what I can. I check in when I can, drop ideas where I can, and look at the "recent changes" page in the wiki. Since people don't have to check in with me for their work, I have to remember to check in with them. There is now a more comprehensive list of staff (http://www.khalidine.com/wiki/Staff_list) now (thank you Melliores) so I can at least keep an eye on what I've assigned various staff. It's not easy keeping track of all the changes when I'm not available for more than a few hours a day every other day (usually those times were because I was procrastinating something else though). I do apologize to GrinningFool though, for not popping in as much as I used to, but they weren't kidding when they made the "starving college student" stereotype. Yikes. (7) Discuss |
