"If there is one thing that I know, it's that I really can't stand the followers of Alsander. One stole my notes, another lit my shoes on fire, and another tried to actually proposition me! No charge my FOOT (I don't know where she's been)! They don't seem to really have anything to record. For one thing, they kept asserting to me that there really weren't any rules or guidelines. That's hogwash. There has to be, otherwise you could consider just about anyone a follower of Alsander (count me out)! I didn't buy into it, and I have taken some rough notes and a statement from a particularly stable worshiper about the kinds of things that they usually say or do. This should help anyone (gods help them) who would want to be a better follower of Alsander. I have my doubts though, and more importantly, I've been told he gets curious with people like me nosing around. I haven't slept well ever since." -Jacob Stanze
Compulsions of Alsander "The only thing that holds someone back is themselves. People fear the strangest things, from rainwater to getting a bit dirty. Sometimes someone won't do something because they are more afraid of what people will think of them. It's a ridiculous notion since it doesn't matter what people think, you only live once or so I understand. You want to do as much as you possibly can to feel good and to push yourself to the limit. What's the point of getting good at something without seeing how far you can really go? The point is to have some fun while you can, because one day you just won't be able to." "I started following Alsander when I was younger, and I am thankful for that. I have done so many things and seen much more than the common folk and for that I am grateful. You just can't waste your youth because one day you'll be old and the women won't look at you, your bones won't move as quick, and you'll stop remembering all those great times you had as a kid. My first ale was stolen, as was my first kiss. You don't have to wait for those things to happen. If they can happen and you want it, why shouldn't you do those things? What, fear of retribution? There will always be someone who will hate the things you do as a younger, and kids are always being put down for being stupid so why not live it up?" "I'm a bit older now, so I don't get away with nearly as much as I used to, but I consider my life a life worth living, and everything I did I would do over again if I had to. Good and bad. It's just the way things are and you're kidding yourself if you think otherwise. Ah, the music and the parties just call to you no matter where you're from. It's just fun and what's wrong with that? Sometimes things will work out in the end, and sometimes not. Who cares if things don't work out? You have all of tomorrow to make up for it! Have fun!" "And speaking of which, I think your shoes are on fire again Jacob." (0) Click here to start the discussion! |
