At long last...

Though we expect several smaller updates in the next couple of weeks, this oft-delayed relelase is the last major major release before we begin open beta.  Don't forget to update with Audolo -- major changes, so expect to wait a while.   Special thanks in this release for the hard work of Fizzbang, cptoad, Revelation, and Alban -- between them they supplied (or fixed)  25 of the 30 new areas that we're bringing online with this release.

Full release notes below. 

General

  • Every area should now have a proper name that shows up in the minimap dialog, in the format of Major Area - Sub Area - Sub Sub Area with "major area" being minimal information. For example: "Gesel - Core - Hall of Justice" or "Solan Village - Julie's Hearth" .
  • Area lighting settings are final. If there are issues with lighting, report them as bugs from this point forwardd.
  • Point lights are final
  • All areas except City Core are to be considered in a mostly final state, so if any issues are seen make sure to report them. This includes:
        • area lighting
        • point lights
        • music
        • audio effects
        • ambient sound
        • sound volumes
  • A separate music download will be made available shortly.  Don't check music until you have it...
  • Approximately 30 new areas are connected.  Reference the area connection diagrams posted to the tester forums for details.  

Systems

  • pickpocketing now online.
  • All lights converted to use khalidine lighting system
  • resting: fixed resting triggers to work properly.
  • new area: gesel core sewers south
  • hak: added stained glass placeable blueprint
  • hak: added more painting, mushroom, crystal, statue placeable blueprints
  • hak: added walkable ship blueprints
  • speech: fixed issues jumparea (.jar) command
  • speech: .jar command modified so that if you use ".jar ?" you are presented with a paged list of all areas.
  • speech: new buff, "deathaura".  Good for making sure all your enemies are dead long before they approach you.  Obviously for testing purposes...
  • speech: .buff pp+  gives +80 to pickpocket skill. 
  • speech: .buff pp- gives -80 to pickpocket skill
  • speech: internally modularized much of this for easier expansion and maintenance, and with intent of eventually providing a GUI around the same commands without duplicating code.
  • speech: new command: gmark mark-name -> returns the area containing location saved with mark-name
  • speech: new command: getc slot, returns the name of the creature stored in 'slot'
  • speech:  new command: stop [target] - causes the target to immediately cease all action.  Does not prevent future action. (.freeze does that)
  • speech: new command: fr [target].  Force-rests the target, immediately restoring full hitpoints and spells
  • speech: new command: imm y or n [target]. Sets the target to immortal/non-immortal
  • bug system: bug browser will now correctly retain settings across multiple viewings.
  • bug system: bug browser will now correctly refresh when "this area only" filter is checked, and you change areas.
