Here is a list of the languages spoken on Khalidine. During your adventures you will meet plenty of creatures who converse in many different languages. For all your communication needs here is the list:
Elven is beautiful, melodic language that is spoken by all surface elves. Gnomish is a fast-spoken language, often consisting of limited number of base words strung together into new combinations. Halfling is rarely known outside of halfling communities; even within those communities its usage has grown quite rare. Dwarvish - Variants of Dwarvish are spoken by all Dwarves in the land, though those willing to teach it to outsiders are quite rare. This gutteral language is said to be very hard on the throat of any non-dwarf tryng to speak it, and as such many outsiders it in a higher pitch that is said to make dwarves wince. Orcish - Even more gutteral than dwarvish, the orcish language is abrasive to the ears. Some scholars maintain that it evolved from its original form, which was more musical than even Elven could hope to be. Goblin - The goblin tongue is characterized by short bursts of hurried speech that often consists of bits taken from several other languages. Reptilian is spoken by the lizard-people of the world. They seldome share the secrets of this siblant speech with outsiders. Druidic - Little is known about the druidic language; it is never taught outside of druidic circles. Thieves Cant is a mixture of cryptic phrases and gestures that can be used to convey terse but precise messages - often under the very nosee of people observing. Celestial is the said to be the native tongue of the gods and their divine servants. Learning this language requires a long-term Character Development Quest. Abyssal is said to the the language of demons and those who serve them - such creatures are never seen upon the surface of the world in modern days. Learning this language requires a long-term Character Development Quest. Infernal is said to be the language of devils and those who serve the - such creatures are never seen upon the surface of the world in modern days. Learning this language requires a long-term Character Development Quest. Drow speak a variant of the elven tongue that is also quite beautiful to hear. Unfortunately, for those few surfacers who hear it, it's often the very last sound they're aware of. Learning this language requires a long-term Character Development Quest, or being raised in the Drow community. Garean Slave Tongue is a language that has developed over centuries of slavery in the country of Garè. Most slaves learn it at a young age, though surprisingly few outside of that group understand this corrupted version of Common. Lyndorran - This nearly-dead tongue is still spoken in some remote villages near the Anelynian and Dinestavian borders. There are very few who are not from this regioin who know this language. Tabanastan is the language spoken almost exclusively by the ruling clergy of Tabanasta. It is an ancient tongue, and some say it derives from the language of the gods themselves. Fey is the language of woodland creatures. Learning this language would require a long-term Character Development Quest. Duergar is the language spoken by the Dwarves of the deep underground. There are very few surfacers who speak this language. Learning this language would require a long-term Character Development Quest. Draconic is the tongue of dragons. It is not available for player characters to learn except through extraordinary circumstances. Elemental is the language spoken by the intelligent creatures of the elemental planes. Learning this language would require a long-term Character Development Quest. Gith is the tongue of the plane-traveling Githyanki and their cousins the Githzerai.
